Project Overview
“Coronazähler” (Corona Counter) was a project initiated at TECO during the COVID-19 pandemic to collect, visualise and interpret COVID-19 case numbers in real-time. It integrated multiple data sources into a single interactive dashboard.
Our Goal
Create a transparent, publicly available COVID-19 dashboard. Combine open data with real-time updates for improved situational awareness. Support both public and research understanding of pandemic progression.
Highlights
Visualisation and data aggregation of local/national COVID-19 cases. Integration of automated data pipelines and visual analytics. Rapidly developed under crisis conditions by TECO researchers.
Impact
Helped citizens and researchers track the pandemic more effectively. Promoted open-data and public-information transparency. Served as a foundation for later TECO visualisation and analytics frameworks.
