eSeal/DigiClip

Project Overview

The eSeal concept explores how traditional seals can be enhanced using ubiquitous computing technologies to monitor and verify the state of physical objects. A key implementation is the DigiClip system, which integrates sensors into a paper clip to connect physical documents with their digital counterparts. It enables tracking, synchronization, and integrity verification of documents within a document management system, including location awareness and change notification between physical and electronic versions.

Our Goal

The goal of the eSeal project is to investigate how electronic sealing mechanisms can extend to everyday objects, enabling integrity monitoring, tracking, and synchronization between physical artefacts and their digital representations.
