Project Overview
uParts are tiny sensor network nodes developed to minimize deployment and operational complexity. They are designed for zero-administration or minimal configuration setups, enabling rapid deployment in large-scale or ad-hoc sensing environments. The project investigates hardware longevity, low-maintenance communication protocols, reduced production costs, and simplified developer interfaces. Deployed applications worldwide continuously provide feedback data for system evaluation and improvement.
Our Goal
The goal of uParts is to enable highly scalable and cost-efficient sensor networks by eliminating configuration and maintenance overhead, while supporting long-term operation, easy deployment, and flexible application development in distributed sensing environments.
